Skokomish River Nature Guided TourThis 2 hour Guided Tour begins at the confluence at the Skokmish River and Anna's Bay (the heel) of the Hood Canal. The "Skok", as locals call it, flows into the Hood Canal thru a large esturine river delta where both fresh water and salt water marshes meet. Estuaries such as these are some of the most productive eco-systems on earth, with hundreds of species of birds, plants and various animals. The river empties into the Hood Canal facing the majestic Olympic Mountains with scenery that will simply take your breath away. White jagged peaks flanked with lush emerald rain forests act as a back drop to the thriving waters of the Hood Canal. This adventure will never be forgotten. This tour comes complete with high quality, stable, safe and easy to paddle Wilderness Systems Kayaks. This includes safety instruction and all safety gear. Count seals, bird watch or just marvel at the breathtaking scenery...this tour has it all. View the pictures from a recent trip in the river. Skomomish River Tours will vary according to the tide and weather.
We had a fabulous day on the Skokomish River. It was great paddling the Skokomish estuary. This was really an awesome team building event and we can't wait to go back! |
